Our residence is located close to seaside in the center of Ekenäs in the South West of Finland. The town of around 15,000 inhabitants lies on a peninsula within the large archipelago of the Baltic Sea, a magical world of thousands of islands, trees and wild birds.
Ekenäs is a lively community with a market square, cafés, restaurants and shops. People are bilingual in this region. They speak Finnish and especially Swedish and, normally, very good English. By train, bus, or car, Ekenäs is only 1.5 hours away from Helsinki and Turku.
Once you’re there you’ll see how easy it is to get along by yourself in Ekenäs and all over Finland in general. You don’t need a car, you have trains and buses - and a guest bike for getting around locally.
